Ingredients
  

  • Tea Base:
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 3 cups hot water
  • Mango Mixture:
  • 1 1/2 cups ripe mango diced
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • For Serving:
  • 2 cups cold water
  • ice cubes
  • lemon slices optional
  • fresh mint optional

Method
 

  1. Brew the tea: Steep black tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool slightly.

  2. Blend the mango: Add diced mango, honey or sugar, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup cold water to a blender. Blend until smooth.

  3. Strain the puree: Pour the mango puree through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher for a smoother drink.

  4. Combine the drink: Add the brewed tea and 2 cups cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.

  5. Chill and serve: Add ice cubes and stir until the drink is cold.

Notes

  • Use very ripe mango for the best sweetness and flavor.
